As much as I love those fabucked up Mormons, I still had to make my first trip to see a US Men's National Team soccer game. So, Utah and Salt Lake City here we come!
It was a great trip, left 5am Saturday morning, returned 9pm Sunday night. Somewhere in there we spent several hours tailgating outside the stadium, enjoyed an amazing 40,000+ crowd of cheering (mostly) US fans, and had a couple of nice meals. Along the way was a great drive, we did a loop that started on 70 and came back on 80.
Fun times, I'll definitely be hitting more US Nats games!

Because we were also visiting our rival MLS club city (which hosts a team named, dubiously, ReAL Salt Lake of all friggin' things) we had to come up with an answer, and it was in the form of our FaKE Salt Lake T-Shirts designed by roadtrip warrior Greenie!

Tailgating was a treat, great fans around us (even the Costa Rica fans, which is the team the US spanked 3-0 Saturday in front of us!)

It was agreed by longtime US Nats followers that this was one of the best qualifier experiences to be had in recent memory. Excellent! I like to start on a high note. BTW -- I'm wearing the bandana off to the left of the picture, looking at my camera, my buds are in the same row to the right, Meghan, Luke, Mike, and Greenie!
